<lb ed="B" n="0087b09"/>各利其器有若一雨溥<g ref="#CB02088">㴻</g>草木咸資是道也克輔
<lb type="honorific" ed="B" n="0087b10"/>帝王政治之化其至矣乎自漢至唐以及五季咸爾

<lb ed="B" n="0087b15"/>所說効之以排佛嗚呼害乎至德可勝道哉余輙爲
<lb ed="B" n="0087b16"/>之痛惜故著尙直編以警之直說而無紆故名尙直

<lb ed="B" n="0088a18"/>然可見何待發問而後知乎孟子謂孔子登東山而
<lb ed="B" n="0088a19"/>小魯登泰山而小天下豈不其然欤今夫儒之論道
<lb ed="B" n="0088a20"/>經邦老之歸根復命佛之明心見性皆明道而弘善

<lb ed="B" n="0088b01"/>也書曰爲善不同同歸乎治漢牟子曰君子愽取衆善
<lb ed="B" n="0088b02"/>以輔其身此之謂也是故達人大觀庶幾明道理識
<lb ed="B" n="0088b03"/>言語烏可死於一人半人之語乎吾輩心宗之學微
<lb ed="B" n="0088b04"/>用文義貫穿道理而已子讀萬卷經書始爲通方達
<lb ed="B" n="0088b05"/>士曰非一朝而可造詣吾師於理明切至當得相扣
<lb ed="B" n="0088b06"/>也曰然則爲汝隱然指歸令汝自見韓子未知佛法

<lb ed="B" n="0088b09"/>看佛書凢看佛書則見其心病矣由是密設牆壍閒

<lb ed="B" n="0088b12"/>揚墨尤爲近理所以其害爲左甚令如<g ref="#CB03020">滛</g>芭羙也以
<lb ed="B" n="0088b13"/>遠之大學中庸序文或問諸書註語晦庵語錄皆存
<lb ed="B" n="0088b14"/>此意小學有世俗信浮圖誑誘等語文公家禮喪禮
<lb ed="B" n="0088b15"/>篇有云不作佛事復指<name role="" type="person">司馬溫公</name>語註云世俗信浮
<lb ed="B" n="0088b16"/><g ref="#CB08557">啚</g>誑誘等語全是晦庵心之所之不是溫公之語如
<lb ed="B" n="0088b17"/>是用心是其設牆壍也所以皮膚之學者偏要排佛
<lb ed="B" n="0088b18"/>纔讀數十卷書心忿忿然遽以排佛爲急務嗚呼學
<lb ed="B" n="0088b19"/>至宏愽自然通泰排佛之心稍覺輕矣學而至化出
<lb ed="B" n="0088b20"/>彼墻壍之外自知排佛之非追悔不及矣當知三敎

<lb ed="B" n="0089a01"/>之學乃至琴碁書畫百工伎藝學而至於變化之地
<lb ed="B" n="0089a02"/>始得活機之妙不然則在死殺法裡遽<name role="" type="person">伯玉</name>六十而
<lb ed="B" n="0089a03"/>化始得處心之要學而至化卒難得也</p>

<lb ed="B" n="0089b09"/>程子苟存此見爭能著易傳耶易傳辭理俱勝不失
<lb ed="B" n="0089b10"/>東林總禪師濂溪周元公口傳心受之意一模脫出
<lb ed="B" n="0089b11"/>渾無睽舛未嘗有此僻隘之心溫公程子不肯排佛
<lb ed="B" n="0089b12"/>通鑑易傳良可徵也晦庵非惟曲排佛法抑亦曲指
<lb ed="B" n="0089b13"/>溫公程子<g ref="#CB02167">損</g>其名德也曰程子排佛之語出於程子
<lb ed="B" n="0089b14"/>文集豈是晦庵所造曰橫渠與濂溪同問道於東林
<lb ed="B" n="0089b15"/>總禪師今來橫渠西銘正蒙二書皆有排佛之語二
<lb ed="B" n="0089b16"/>書皆是晦庵打點幷加註語集爲朱子成書西銘正
<lb ed="B" n="0089b17"/>蒙排佛之語未必出於橫渠之口多出晦庵之筆程
<lb ed="B" n="0089b18"/>子文集排佛之語同此籌也橫渠與周子同問道於
<lb ed="B" n="0089b19"/>東林性理群書等文謂橫渠問易於程子噫橫渠年
<lb ed="B" n="0089b20"/>雖少於周子亦是同時人也何不問易於周子<g ref="#CB30037">𨚫</g>問

<lb ed="B" n="0090a01"/>易於程子此或實事亦未可知或是後人欲尊程子
<lb ed="B" n="0090a02"/>矯立此事亦未可知已而凢<g ref="#CB29918">著</g>書者互<g ref="#CB29912">引</g>此事汎而
<lb ed="B" n="0090a03"/>說之是以此事遍於群書遂爲實事豈不見晦庵凢
<lb ed="B" n="0090a04"/>造語要人信伏便指爲程子所說嗚呼證龜成<g ref="#CB24732">鼈</g>此
<lb ed="B" n="0090a05"/>之謂也曰何由知爲晦庵之語乎曰言語若認不出
<lb ed="B" n="0090a06"/>何以知人乎曰旣謂知人濂溪何人也曰履德君子
<lb ed="B" n="0090a07"/>也故無昧佛之言耳曰誠知人矣夫溫公正人君子
<lb ed="B" n="0090a08"/>二程子愼德君子吾知三子不肯謗佛如保曾參不
<lb ed="B" n="0090a09"/>殺人也通鑑易傳誠爲證據</p>
<lb ed="B" n="0090a10"/><p xml:id="pB24p0090a1001">曰晦庵非惟排佛抑亦排老此復何如曰其於老子
<lb ed="B" n="0090a11"/>之敎初無干涉故不欲排老若獨排佛則有譏議故
<lb ed="B" n="0090a12"/>以二敎同而排之謂爲排抵諸宗抉樹儒宗而已曾
<lb ed="B" n="0090a13"/>不知天生三敎推不向前捺不向後爲世摸範不可
<lb ed="B" n="0090a14"/>無也如太空之有天地非天地則無覆載也曰或謂
<lb ed="B" n="0090a15"/>佛學爲九流之墨家然否曰子胡不知也九流載於
<lb ed="B" n="0090a16"/>史記漢武帝時司馬相如之所述也此時未有佛法
<lb ed="B" n="0090a17"/>言墨家者墨翟也墨以行事爲敎耳佛以大道爲敎
<lb ed="B" n="0090a18"/>統天地三敎之極祖也惜相如之不遇乎遇則推尊
<lb ed="B" n="0090a19"/>而尙之必有可觀者也曰佛有兼愛近乎墨也曰慈
<lb ed="B" n="0090a20"/>悲喜捨佛之德也豈是溺情汩志之愛乎慈悲之愛
<pb ed="B" xml:id="B24.0132.0090b" n="0090b"/>
<lb ed="B" n="0090b01"/>者德也溺情之愛者私也韓昌黎曰愽愛之謂仁此
<lb ed="B" n="0090b02"/>流於情而混淆也孔子曰愽施於民而能濟衆必也
<lb ed="B" n="0090b03"/>聖乎孟子曰惻隱之心仁之端也孔孟非溺情汩志
<lb ed="B" n="0090b04"/>亦非眞妄混淆故可與慈悲之愛相表裡嗚呼儒宗
<lb ed="B" n="0090b05"/>以綱常爲先明道兼之釋宗以明道爲先綱常兼之
<lb ed="B" n="0090b06"/>衆人觀之似乎不同達人觀之而實同也夫旣慈愛
<lb ed="B" n="0090b07"/>於衆以及鳥獸昆蟲者豈不忠於君不孝於親不修
<lb ed="B" n="0090b08"/>道德不弘仁義乎凢如是者未之有也</p>
<lb ed="B" n="0090b09"/><p xml:id="pB24p0090b0901">曰晦庵所惡虛無寂<g ref="#CB29919">滅</g>之敎新安陳氏曰老氏虛無
<lb ed="B" n="0090b10"/>佛氏寂<g ref="#CB29919">滅</g>此說何如曰虛無寂<g ref="#CB29919">滅</g>有權實二義以權
<lb ed="B" n="0090b11"/>言之則虛無寂<g ref="#CB29919">滅</g>是空幻之語凡夫執有小乘執空
<lb ed="B" n="0090b12"/>中乘執不有不空大乘當體卽空不隨衆數妙有非
<lb ed="B" n="0090b13"/>有眞空不空不立一塵不捨一法縱橫逆順法法全
<lb ed="B" n="0090b14"/>眞是故大覺世尊爲破凡夫之有故乃曰此身虛幻
<lb ed="B" n="0090b15"/>令心寂<g ref="#CB29919">滅</g>爲破小乘之空故乃責其陷於解脫<g ref="#CB25451">𭰹</g>坑
<lb ed="B" n="0090b16"/>令求出離爲破中乘之不有不空故乃責其<g ref="#CB27104">縛</g>於幻
<lb ed="B" n="0090b17"/>有令求大乘此皆善權方便之術也以實言之則虛

<lb ed="B" n="0094b12"/>無私者惡其偏見鳴皷而政之亦未可知也曰卯石

<lb ed="B" n="0094b14"/>伯之威而行文藝故屈節稱爲邑伯之徒以此爲立

<lb ed="B" n="0095b01"/>刑獄又如此也唐書曰雖爲異方之敎無損於理之
<lb ed="B" n="0095b02"/>源韓愈抵排佛老其道未弘柳子曰佛經與易論語
<lb ed="B" n="0095b03"/>合不與孔子異道雖聖人復生不可得而斥也孝宗
<lb ed="B" n="0095b04"/>曰佛之五戒卽五常也仲尼之道夫何遠之有如上
<lb ed="B" n="0095b05"/>等語固合天地之心公而無私也</p>
<lb ed="B" n="0095b06"/><p xml:id="pB24p0095b0601">曰師謂佛法敎人爲善省其刑獄曾不知僧亦有過
<lb ed="B" n="0095b07"/>而煩於刑獄也曰三敎垩人之道未始不以善法敎

<lb ed="B" n="0095b09"/>是故不可以人之不善而責垩人之敎焉汝之所見

<lb ed="B" n="0096a05"/>言之喚鐘作甕也一朝学到李屛山林希逸而至景
